Conference Call Connection to our Meetings

Should you not be able to attend our meetings in person we are establishing a way for you to join us via telephone.  We will have available, at most of our meetings, a telephone conferencing service which, by calling the conference center number, allows you to listen and take part. It will only cost you the long distance call to the Conference Center.  To those with unlimited domestic calling there should be no cost.

Here are the directions:

1.  Dial the Conference Center number: 1-218-844-3377

2.  Enter Access Code when instructed: 04182004#

3.  You should then be in the conference and hear the members in attendance.  Please introduce yourself.

4.  Press *6 on your phone to mute so the meeting room attendees do not hear background noises at your location.  Press 6 again to join in the conversation during Wednesday testimony periods and at other discussion meetings.  Mute the phone by pressing 6 again.

Typical Meetings

Sunday Services:

On Sunday we gather to sing hymns and listen to the Weekly Bible Lesson or sermon (as printed in the current Christian Science Quarterly) and associated readings presented by two volunteer readers. Our church's founder, Mary Baker Eddy, designated the Bible and

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

to act as our pastors.  This Sunday service is similar to those given in any Christian Science church throughout the world.  Sunday School is held at the same hour for children up to the age of 20.  A children's room is offered for very young children. These meetings typically start at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday Evening Meeting:

On Wednesday evenings we gather together to listen to selections read from the Bible and

Science and Health

and presented by a member who has volunteered to prepare and present them on a timely subject. After the readings, we share testimonies of the healings and spiritual growth experienced by those gathered together.  This Wednesday evening service is similar to those given in any Christian Science church, society, college organization or informal group. These meetings typically start at 7:30 p.m.

Location:

Our Sunday and Wednesday services will be held at the Girl Scout Council building as consistently as possible. We will announce in advance any alternative locations. Please check this website for any late breaking location news.

Special Meetings:

We gather together occasionally to discuss the group's activity, plan for future special events and conduct an in depth discussion on topics of special community interest or timelyness.  You may find these to be of general public interest, particularly when we are confronting a community issue that needs healing.  Watch the calendar for dates and more topic information.

Benevolent Fund:

Our Benevolent Fund is always accepting contributions.   This fund is a significant part of our mission and is used to assist those in our community and within our own membership who may be facing a particular need.  There are also envelopes so marked by the collection basket.
